Pure copper cup & mugs in various sizes and designs

Ayurveda has known for centuries the benefits of drinking water from a copper vessel. Ayurveda states that when you store water in a copper vessel or bottle for 8 – 10 hours, it releases the three Doshas (bioenergies) that circulate through the human body (the Vata air element, the Pitta fire element and the Kapha water element) can balance. In addition, this water can help balance the pH of your body.

Copper is a trace element and is involved in the formation of connective tissue and bones and also ensures the proper functioning of the immune system. The recommended daily amount of copper for adults is set at 0.9 mg. This means you can drink about two to three cups of water from a copper vessel or bottle drink to experience its benefits. Do not overdo it, as this in turn can be detrimental to your well-being.

Care and cleaning of copper drinking utensils

Never clean copper drinking utensils in the dishwasher.

When the copper color on the outside becomes less shiny, you can use a lemon slice and some salt to gently polish the copper drinking utensils. Then rinse and allow to dry thoroughly before further use.

Never use an abrasive to clean the inside. Instead, use half of a lemon and rub it on the inside. Leave for a few minutes and then wash off with plain water.

You can also use (baking soda) salt with water to wash the cup.

Do not expose to direct sunlight.
Note: As a result of oxidation, copper discolors over time and may stain. These are the natural properties of copper. It has no negative effect on drinking from these copper items. Oxidation stains are easy to remove with a mix of white vinegar, salt and lemon juice

How to make copper water.

Rinse copper drinking utensils with water before use. Put water in a copper bottle 8 – 10 hours in advance and seal it. Prepare the water in the afternoon, for example, and drink the water the next morning. Pour as soon as you get up in the morning the water from a copper bottle into a copper cup. It is recommended that you drink the water to drink at room temperature. Copper water should not be stored in the refrigerator.

Copper drinking utensils are only suitable for water! Do not use for other liquids or mix the water mix with herbs or fruits.

Pure copper: the only right option

It is important to use drinking utensils made of pure pure copper. Therefore, do not buy copper drinking utensils that are mixed with other metals. A simple way to distinguish between pure copper and a counterfeit version mixed with other metals is to compare its hardness. Pure copper is in fact a very soft metal. We guarantee the good quality of our copper drinking utensils.

Quality of copper

Copper is a soft metal and therefore, unlike steel, for example, is a difficult material to process. Because of this, our copper drinking utensils are handmade rather than being produced by machine. Unique products, then, because as with any hand finished item, no two bottles will ever be quite the same. Therefore, it is perfectly normal that your bottle may show slight variations and/or unevenness due to the hand-finished process. This is precisely what makes our copper drinkware a unique piece of craftsmanship.
